“Due to maternity leave, I was no longer using my car and could not afford to renew so when I recieved renewal info 2 wks before the renewal date I called same day + sent a 1stclass letter the next saying that I no longer required the policy. The money was taken out of my account 4 wks later. When I called I was told my policy had been cancelled but after the money had been taken so they couldn’t refund it! After 30mins (10 on hold), they said I could have half the amount back £25, less admin money.
Customer services were very aggressive and wouldn’t even let me finish talking once. They said they had made a mistake then that they hadn’t and so on. They said that contact by post was not sufficient and ‘TOLD ME OFF’ for not calling when I had called as well as written. Will never use again.”
