The US pharmaceutical firm Amgen will create more than 100 full time specialist jobs in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin. The plans, which already have the go-ahead from the Irish Government, will see 151 million Euros pumped into the existing site.
As well as the 100 full time specialist jobs created at Amgen, the company believes this will also create 350 contract construction jobs as well for a period of just over a year and a half. This development will be huge as the site only currently employs 280 people. Jobs will mostly be created in research and development.
This announcement comes with the Irish Government saying that they want to get 100,000 people back to work by 2016.
