Cork to Create 500 Apple Jobs. The technology giant and creator of Iphones, Ipads and Ipods has announced that they are going to create 500 jobs in Cork.

Over the next 18 months, Apple has announced that it will expand its workforce in Cork by up to 500 people. The site, which is currently the European Headquarters for Apple, will expand with a new office block next to the current one, and is part of Apple’s continued expansion across Europe, Asia and Africa.

Alan Hely the senior director for corporate communications for Apple has said that this is a great development, and that he is thrilled to be able to make it. This will be a rather significant boost to the local economy which has struggled in recent years.
