M&S jobs boost in Peterborough
Marks and Spencer has announced that it will create 100 jobs for local job seekers in Peterborough when it opens its new store at the city’s Brotherhood Shopping Park next month.
The store, which will be 69,000 sq ft in size, will stock a full range of fashion clothing for women, men and children, lingerie, home furnishings and beauty products as well as house an extensive food hall and cafe.
A spokesperson for the retail giant stated that the company was delighted to become a larger part of Peterborough’s business community and is determined to offer an excellent shopping experience to its customers.
The store has what it calls ‘hi-tech pods’ to allow customers to find products and use a number of different ways to order, whether for collection in-store or delivery. It will also boast a Home department that uses computer tablets and interactive screens to facilitate an easy ordering process for its wide range of furniture and furnishings.
Other features of the new store include one of the first opportunities in the UK to obtain exclusive beauty brands via Marks and Spencer, a clothing recycling initiative in conjunction with Oxfam and a plan to collect rainwater to supply the site’s bathrooms as part of the company’s sustainable environment goals.
Job vacancies will be advertised shortly by the company. You can visit M&S careers site and search for latest positions. Peterborough M&S jobs can be adverised by the local job centre too.
