New Superstore to Create 300 Jobs in Preston

The new superstore to be built in Preston will create three hundred job vacancies for the job seekers in area. The superstore is just one aspect of the new development which will include:

- Cafes
- Restaurants
- Shops
- Retail Units
- Three new public squares as part of its Horrockses Quarter in Avenham.

The developer, Brookhouse Group, said that there will be about 860 permanent jobs created once it is completed. It’s expected the superstore will open just before Christmas 2013.

The supermarket and retail giant, Tesco, is also seeking a suitable place to build its store in the town and have had discussions with Brook Group about joining the scheme.

According to the company there will also be 300 temporary jobs to be created during the building process.

Brookhouse Development has submitted a new planning application to the Preston Council for a new supermarket. The new supermarket will be bigger than Asda in Fulwood and will include a large car park, petrol station, car wash and other retail units.
