Massey UniversityInternational Students Though very much a New Zealand university, Massey University has always prided itself on its international outlook and reputation. Methods of teaching and standards of excellence are based on British university models, so students benefit directly from a proven consistent education system that is respected worldwide. As a result, their qualifications are also internationally accepted. Our role is to help you prepare for the challenges ahead with programmes that are both relevant, innovative and progressive. Every year hundreds of international students find in Massey University a friendly home, a place to study, and an intellectual climate in which they are encouraged to excel. Students from over 60 countries are represented on campus. The most predominant groups are from Malaysia, Japan and Korea. Fees In New Zealand, you are expected to contribute to the total cost of your study in the form of a ‘tuition fee’. The remainder of the cost of providing your education is funded by government subsidy, research grants, the commercialisation of research and commercial activities. To get a true indication how much it will cost you to study at a tertiary institution, you need to consider the fees for your course, other study costs such as study materials, equipment or field trips where applicable, and factor in additional costs such as textbooks, accommodation and transport. Please note: For fees and levies applicable to students enrolled in New Zealand School of Music programmes (including tuition fees and course related costs), please refer to the New Zealand School of Music web site.
