HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OUT OF UNIVERSITY LIFE
Jan 22nd
University life is where students begin to understand the notion of independence. If in high school you had parents who supported you in everything and you were given a fixed allowance every week, in college you will begin to experience how it is to be independent. You will probably be given a monthly or per semester allowance, depending on your arrangement and you would have to be able to budget this amount properly.
University Dormitory Living
May 21st
Staying in a dormitory inside the university offers more occasions for mingling with colleagues of your age. This is the main ground why students choose this type of accommodation. There will be more students to relate with, thus easier to gain friends on a different country. Eventually, with your friends, school projects would be easier to complete. Further, learning the local language would be easier for you. So, if you really want to have a full experience on what college life has to offer in other countries, living in a dormitory would be the best avenue.
Unfortunately, dormitories on your home country are like dormitories abroad in terms of their disadvantages. Both of them are overcrowded and lacking of bathroom facilities. Since you will surely share rooms, privacy is a problem that is even aggravated by noisy roommates along with their mess. You can even loss your appetite with the unsavory food of cafeterias. Worse, you may be visited with homesickness especially during holiday seasons when your roommates visited their families.
