Retail giant Tesco are to create 250 new jobs in Tolworth. Tesco’s plan to build a new store in Tolworth town has been rejected by the local council planners. Critics focused on the idea of a new Tesco store would cause uncontrolable traffic and an increase in the prices of property in the area.

Northumberland County Council has already approved Tesco’s new store in Amble that would create 150 new Tesco jobs. As many other counties in the UK Amble also effected very badly from the recession so no doubt that this news very welcomed in the town.
