Car Rental Agent Interview Questions and Helpful Tips

If you have secured an interview for a Car Rental Agent then you may some prior knowledge of the Car rental market and understand the rule of hiring and terms etc. As an agent you will be responsible for talking to customers and for taking their bookings, providing advice, ensuring that you have the correct payment or method of payment that the right insurances have been taken out etc.

Before attending any interview, it is important to do your research into the company and then match the job description with your CV to highlight prior to any interview what you are able to do comfortably and what you need some work on to be up to scratch and how you are going to go about this.

Car Rental Agent Interview Questions

During your interview you could be asked questions such as:
What advice would you give to a customer looking to hire a car for 5 people?Do you know the different terms of insurance for a young person versus a person of 40+ age? Is there any?What is the minimum leasing term?What is the maximum term?What checks need to be done on the vehicle prior to it leaving the depot?The questions asked will alter greatly if you have done this role before and have a greater understanding but a lot of the information you need will be found during your research on their website etc.

A big part of the role is customer services so this will need to be outstanding to do this role well. Your interviewer will looking for you to be organised and thorough as you will also be working out prices and insurances, things that require great attention to detail so once you have been through your own CV it would be nice to highlight these areas that you know you are good at and that you do these areas well. If you can think of specific examples from a previous work place this would be a good discussion topic when answering questions at an interview.
