If you are a teaching assistant or recently qualified teaching assistant looking for a first position then it is important to demonstrate why you want to be a teaching assistant, what experience have you gained throughout your training and qualifications and what difference do you think you could make to a teaching environment in terms of providing support to a school and teacher.

Teaching Assistant CV Personal Profile Example

I am a recently qualified teaching assistant (date of qualifications) and I am seeking to do my first teaching assistant post. During my training I gained experience in primary school environments supporting a number of teachers in their classrooms, getting things ready, planning activities for the children and generally helping the teacher to prepare for and run the day.

I have had an interest in working with children from a young age and I enjoy seeing the development that they make from such a young age. The early years learning is very important for children and I enjoy being a part of that and transforming young children through their education years.

I am a very positive person; I like to be enthusiastic and energetic towards my work which is ideal in a child environment. I am a creative person who likes to think of new ideas and ways of working to keep the children engaged at the same time as learning and improving their skills.

I like to keep on top of my skills and experiences and I am eager to learn as much as I can and hopefully one day I will be able to do my PGCE and become a teacher. For now I am very interested in gaining as much experience as I can and learning as I go along.
