Graduates Thoughts: Gap Year vs Work Experience [INFOGRAPHIC]

Last updated : 13 September 2018

By Daniel Lewis

Graduates used to travel to places around the world during their gap year but now the majority stay in their country and start work experience instead. Of course the main reason for doing this is to get some work experience so they can start their career as soon as possible. Competition for the jobs is very tough so it’s better to secure a job before traveling.

According to this wonderful infographic:

53% of graduates think unpaid internships are fair.

47% of graduates think education is just for education’s sake.

87% of think they have the right skills for an entry level graduate job.
