This is very relevant to myself. My son is in his final year at school (well ok he is in GCSE year), and has already decided that he wants to go to college rather than sixth form or university – to be honest, that is for the best as the school he has been at really hasnt helped him so he didnt want to go to sixth form there, we dont believe he will get the grades he needs for university, so we are looking at colleges. We have found a college that offers the courses he is looking into (he has a choice of 2 at the moment), but they suggest that he perhaps finds an apprenticeship that he can do and go to college as well. As he is our eldest, we have no experience in writing letters asking about apprenticeships so really do not know where to start
