Don’t decide before you’ve even had the baby what you want to do. Wait until you’ve had the baby and then decide whether you really should or should not go back to work.

You might find that circumstances have changed at the end of your maternity leave and it’s actually okay for you to go back to work. Certain things such as childcare problems are the main issues that stop new mothers going back to work.
