I agree with the others, just state “References are available upon request” and give the name of a teacher, a family friend etc. If you pursue some voluntary work, your boss there will count as a reference. Why not commit a day a week to Barnardo’s, or Oxfam, or any other charity you feel passionate about? This will look excellent on a CV.
Not having a reference is not the end of the world. Did you do your mandatory work experience in school? Use the employer from there as a reference if you did. They are usually more than happy to help.
