One of the Tesco stores quite close to me was rebuilt and extended a few years back. They thought it would really enhance the store, but it seemed to make little difference, if not a difference for the worse.
I did hear shortly after that staff were being dismissed and given less hours because there were too many staff for the amount of customers.
