Supermarket chain Asda is set to open a multi-million-pound outlet in East Cleveland this summer.
The new store is creating more than 150 new jobs in Skelton at the impressive £7m 25,000 sq ft supermarket.

The original plans to build the new outlet were approved by Redcar and Cleveland Council over two years ago, with work on the construction almost coming to an end now.

Merchandise at the new store will include fresh, frozen and general groceries along with a selection of local produce, a fresh pizza counter and an in-store bakery, as well as Asda’s choice of own label brands. The Asda clothing brand, George, will have its own 4,000 sq ft section within outlet.

The store will also have a cafe, a petrol filling station, home shopping services and a 300-space car park for customers. Asda’s new Click and Collect provision will also be accessible.

The company believe the addition of this new Adsa to the town will offer shoppers in the region an excellent range of choices as well as creating welcome new jobs to the area.
