    Barratts is a large shoe retail chain on the high street, as well as a successful online business. Offering a wide range of footwear for all ages, they call themselves “exceptional value for money”.

    Due to how large Barratts is, they have something for everyone. With stores all across the UK, finding employment in one of them shouldn’t be too hard. They seek passionate individuals who love a challenge, have great customer service skills and are positive people.

    How to Apply

    To apply to work at Barratts, you can e-mail them at [email protected] requesting information about their open vacancies within roles for their head office. If it’s an in store vacancy that suits you better, they advise you to take your CV along with a covering letter to your nearest store. They will inform you of any vacancies, and will also offer to keep your details on file in case any roles become available that you are suitable for.

    Interview

    Your interview will be 1:1 interview, where they will ask you general retail questions;

    “Have you had any experience working in retail before?”,
    “Are you flexible to work weekends?”.

    They will want to know if you have had any time off sick in the past year, if you have, you will need to explain why. They may ask how you would handle an awkward customer, answer to the best of your ability and you shouldn’t go far wrong. Try to come across outgoing, but not too in their face, try to be happy and positive. Have a smart appearance when you go to your interview; black trousers/skirt, black or white shirt and black shoes, also don’t over-do it with make-up.
