If you’re looking for a job as a Customer Assistant at Boots then you’ll need to use their online job application process.  To start with you’ll have to register your details at Boots.co.uk which will take about 5 minutes.  Once you have done this you can search for current vacancies throughout the UK.

You will then be asked to confirm what hours you are willing to work, and complete specific details for the job you are applying including your work history and references, and submit the application.

You should receive an email within a couple of days from the Boots Recruitment Team advising whether your application has been successful at the first stage and, if so, asking you to complete an online assessment.  This assessment takes the form of a number of mulitple choice questions relating to customer services and a personality test to confirm whether you are the sort of individual that would fit well into their team.

You will then receive an email within a couple of days to advise whether you have been successful at this second stage.  If you have not been successful at this stage please note that subsequent applications for similar roles are measured agains these questionnaire results for the following 15 months so you will not be able to reapply within that period.

If you have been successful you will be asked to attend an interview, usually at the branch for which you have applied, which will last a couple of hours.  During your interview you will be shown around the store and asked to undertake some routine Customer Assistant tasks such as working on the till or answering a question about where a product is likely to be found.  The interview will also include a standard one-to-one discussion asking questions about your past job experiences and skills.

Good luck with your Boots application!

There’s a Boots store that opening quite close to me a year or so ago. I think what makes Boots quite a good store for health and beauty products is the friendly staff. Personally speaking, each time I’ve been into this store, the staff come across very friendly and knowledgeable about the products.

I would suspect they’re looking for a winning personality and a friendly attitude if you’re applying for a customer assistant position.
