BT Jobs: Whether you enjoy being on the phones, or being out there in the open, BT has the perfect career opportunity for you. With more and more people signing up for new broadband, a new telephone line or just having a new TV package; BT is a constant growing company.

    Benefits

Working for one of the largest internet providers in the UK, you will be open to a number of benefits as an employee.

    Having a solid pension scheme,
    Flexible working patterns,
    Special discount on products
Interest-free annual season ticket and stock loans.

    How to Apply

Applying to work for BT is all done online, where you can freely search for their current open vacancies within your area. They encourage you to add your CV and covering letter along with your application, so ensure all your details are updated beforehand.

BT also offers a graduate scheme, if this is something that you’re interested in. Again all applications are done online, if you’re successful at this stage, they call you in for an interview and assessment centre day. Your assessment will consist of a group exercise; each group will have different exercise to complete, but it’s usually to show how well you work as a team. This lasts for roughly 20 minutes. Your interview will last for 1 hour, and will be held with a line manager, the interview will be competency based. You will then have a presentation, you will be told a week beforehand what your subject is, this lasts for 10 minutes and then a further 10 minutes for questions. Finally you will have a role-play exercise, where you will have to stimulate speaking to a manager about an idea you have, and convince them to put it forward.

    BT Pay

For a customer service advisor, your salary would be between £11,012 – £21,328, a field service engineer’s salary is between £13,840 – £29,573.
