Yes, employers can search your bag if necessary.
Employers can monitor their employees. This can be done in different ways:
CCTV, drug testing, bag searches, checking workers emails and websites they browse on the net while at work.
Employers should have a written policy on searching. Searches should:
- respect privacy
- be done by a member of the same sex
- be done with a witness present
