More than a thousand new sales jobs have been created in the past few weeks, with Tesco, BT and McAfee among the big employers announcing a need for more staff.

In light of these increasing opportunities, we have invited a panel of sales professionals to join the forums to talk about careers in the sector for new and experienced candidates.

Ben Turner, director, The SalesPro —an online community for sales professionals, offering thought leadership and best practice in all things sales.

Kevin Dunbar, managing director of Hays Sales, a specialist recruiter for the sector

Claudine Love, commercial development manager, Guardian Jobs, Guardian News & Media. Claudine joined the Guardian Newspaper Group (as it was known then) in March 2000 as a field sales executive. She also represents The Guardian on the Association of Graduate Recruiters research and information committee, and until recently, The Recruitment Society Committee

Gavin Ingham, author and speaker in sales psychology and performance. Gavin has trained and coached successful sales teams, sales professionals, managers and business owners. You can find his popular blog here

    Gary May
is president and founder of the Association of Sales Professionals, founder of Salesology (The Sales Acceleration Training/Coaching Company) and an international speaker on influence, persuasion and sales. He is also co-author Selling — Powerful New Strategies for Sales Success and a former telecommunications sales professional and manager

Rabea Ataya from bayt.com is a scam artist. Fraud and cheating people out of their ideas his one of the traits of this Jordanian/Palestinian national. He has swindled many innocent job seekers through is scam ventures and created enmity with everyone that he worked with.  Before you invest in his ideas, watch out for your wallet. I have worked very closely with him. Bayt.com is in the process of shutting down because of the losses incurred by Rabea Ataya and his fraudster partners. Many investors have lost their money in this company only because of the way he ran it.
