Losses in leicestershire for Caterpillar employees.
A drop in orders has prompted Caterpillar to announce a voluntary redundancy scheme as it can no longer afford to maintain its current workforce. The 175 jobs set to be cut are thought to be agency employees, and may not be the final figure as bosses struggle to reduce the impact on its workforce.
With further Depots around the country, there may be the possibility of moving staff to sites in different areas of the UK. Those concerned about their positions should speak with their Union leader.
