275 new jobs created in £900,000 funding in Furness
£900,000 of government funding has been released to Furness Enterprise in Cumbria, which will go toward creating 275 new jobs. The money will save Furness Enterprise, a twenty-year-old company that was due to close later in August if it did not receive funding.
This move will create 275 jobs and roughly 82 indirect jobs. However, Furness Enterprise have stated that they want to give back to others in the community, and that they want to “help and develop†new business start-ups.
The two-year funding plan will start in September and will save the current eight staff members working at the agency.View more job news?
