    Average Dentist salaries are starting from £37,714 for a practitioner from an university.

    Most NHS dentists are self-employed and working on a contract. They earn between £60,000 and £110,000.

    There are also Dentists who choose to work Community Dental Service in a salaried position.

    Consultant Dentist salaries are starting from £74,504 and goes up to £100,446 depending on the location, experience and the position.

    Self-employed dentists
    working for both private and NHS patients will typically earn between around £50,000 and £110,000 a year.

    The salary for a dentist can be quite good, however I would urge you to make sure that it is a career that you’re actually interested in, otherwise you might find that you get bored with your work. You also have to be able to make your patients feel as though they are at ease with you, because many may be nervous, so although the money is good, it’s not the kind of role that you can enter just for this reason.
