Your notice period should be clearly identified in your contract of employment. This will usually state working days therefore not including weekends unless you usually work weekends.
For example 10 days notice would usually equate to two weeks notice.
It really does depend on your contract. Also, dont expect to be only giving 2 weeks notice without first checking your contract. You may find that you are actually expected to give 4 weeks or one month notice. I know of someone whose contract actually states you can only hand your notice in on the first day of the month!
