    What is an E-tray Exercise?

    E-Tray Exercise is a form of test where you are asked to complete e-mail inbox tasks on a computer within a set amount of time.  You can expect that during the exercise emails will be received into your e-tray inbox and you will have to carry out various tasks listed in the emails.  You may have to use basic maths, extract information from the texts, use your intitiative to decide which tasks to complete first.

    You will have to do followings:

        Do simple calculations;
        Extract information from data provided;
        Make judgement calls on how to deal with demanding managers/unhappy clients etc.

    What do i need to be careful about?

    The answers are multiple choices and you need to be careful about calculation questions.

    Some answers will come with more info than you need to make you confused.

    When you start e-tray exercise you will see that emails will come slowly for the first questions and then it will get quicker as time goes by.

    Don’t forget that you are being tested for other criteria so the interviewer can see how you react under pressure!

    E-tray exercises may involve writing tests as well, for example asking you to reply to some of the emails, and more often than not there won’t be a spell checker! So only type the words that you are confident are well written.

    Keep a note of the time during your e-tray test as you don’t want to get distracted if the time is running out.
