Easyjet interview!!!
Hi,
Have you ever had an interview with Easyjet? I will attend to a group interview soon in London and I don’t know what to do about it.
Its a flight attendant role.

Hi There,
Firstly, well done on securing an interview. Your CV and covering letter must have really impressed the hiring team! The first thing to remember with an interview is that it’s just that- and interview. It’s not an interrogation and I personally find it easiest to get through an interview by pretending to myself that I already have the job, and that helps you to relax and answer questions more calmly.
With an airline they are going to be looking for someone who is capable of serving the public in a friendly and helpful manner, whilst looking smart and presentable. A combination of a smart skirt or trousers, with a smart shirt or fashion top would look smart.
Group interviews should be approached from a team focussed point of view, rather than seeing people as competition. Usually in these types of interviews you will be expected to answer a range of questions about working in customer facing environments and assisting customers, as well as answering questions about any previous similar roles you have undertaken, so think in advance of examples you can give of good service given or how you have relatable experience.
They will also usually ask you to complete tasks in groups so that they can observe how you work with others. These usually consist of games such as ‘who can build the highest tower’, and you should try and ensure that you show in the excersise that you can both direct and take direction, and just ensure that you keep conferring with your colleagues and checking they are doing ok.
When questioned individually just remember to keep calm in the interview and listen to what you are being asked. Be honest, and if you are struggling, don’t be afraid to ask for a few minutes to think. Be sure to have some questions of your own lined up to ask your interviewer, and remember, if you don’t get the job don’t see it as rejection- you wouldn’t want a job that wasn’t suited to you, so it’s important to be honest.

- Though we have a relaxed dress code – to create the right impression it’s a good idea to turn up smart-casual
- Ensure you know your own achievements and aspirations, as most interviewers will ask you about these throughout your meeting.
- Be on-time. Nothing is worse than turning up late – or too early. Plan to be there ten minutes before you’re due
- Listen to each question and answer as honestly as possible. Try not to over-prepare for the day – interviewers can sense when answers are a ‘stock’ response
- If you don’t understand a question – ask for clarification. If you don’t know the answer – say so, don’t make it up
- Try to expand on an answer rather than responding “Yes” or “No”
- If you’re being interviewed by more than one interviewer, give attention to everyone equally
- Prepare fully before the interview if you have to take a test
- Leave questions to the end of the interview. It’s normal policy to allow candidates time to ask questions at the end of an interview
- Be honest about the experience. If you feel that the role isn’t for you – say so politely. If you really want the job – again, say so and highlight why you’re the person for it
