Biscuit manufacturer Fox’s Biscuits’ have increased their production by more than 30 per cent leading to the creation of around 100 new vacancies in its Uttoxeter factory to meet demand.
With current consumer demand for supermarket own-label biscuits increasing, production at the site has increased steadily over the past year.
General manager Kevin Hand said “This is good news for Fox’s and shows how our focus on working with our customers to grow the business is starting to pay off.”
The company has made several business gains recently, including securing contracts with supermarket chains Aldi and Tesco as well as its first ever foray into the savory biscuit market with its Fox’s Magnificos product line.
Mr Hand added “While the biscuits market remains tough and highly competitive, we have been able to secure new business – mainly in supermarket own label – which has led to an increase in demand.”
