    Go Outdoors Application Form

To apply, you can download their application form which can be found on their website. Once its filled out (this should take no longer than 20 minutes) you can send it back to them via e-mail along with a copy of your updated CV and a short covering letter. Your covering letter just gives the company that little bit extra information about you, your experiences and why you would like to work at Go Outdoors. Your covering letter should be set out almost like a formal letter, having your address on the top right hand side, then with a small paragraph explaining why you wish to be employed by the company.

    Interview

The interview process is split into two separate sections, one being a group interview and one being a 1:1 interview. The group interview gives the interviewer a chance to see how well you work as part of a team; you will be set a task to complete, although the outcome of the task isn’t important. Try to take leadership of your group, if possible, if not, involve yourself within the activity as much as possible.

The 1:1 interview will be a more personal interview, where you will be asked a number of questions regarding your experience. This will give the interviewer a better chance to get to know you, so try to be happy and positive. It’s also recommended to have some background knowledge about the company so that towards the end of your interview when they ask if you have any questions, you will have something valuable to ask.

    Salary

You will be looking at a salary between £20,000 and £23,000pa for an assistant manager, for a store manager your salary will be between £23,000 and £26,000pa and for a general sales assistant your salary will be negotiable dependant on experience.
