How far would you be prepared to drive each way to work? Some people say that an hour is too long, but what does everyone else think?

This will very much depend on the job that you will be doing. There are a lot of people that do this sort of driving daily and some even more. Consider the costs of this journey to start with and whether you can manage them. Then think about how tired you might get doing it. Some people do not get tired driving and others do so consider how you might feel. Also think about the time that you will be spending in the car and what activities you will have to stop doing because of the extra travel time. This should be enough to help you to make your decision.
