    IT Consultants may also work in sales and business development as well as in technical areas.

    IT consultant duties

    • defining software, hardware and network requirements;
    • analysing IT requirements within companies and giving independent and objective advice on the use of IT;
    • developing agreed solutions and implementing new systems;
    • presenting solutions in written or oral reports;
    • helping clients with change-management activities;
    • purchasing systems where appropriate;
    • designing, testing, installing and monitoring new systems;

    • Why did you choose this field?
    • What do you know about this company?
    • Which are the 4 biggest players in the IT field?
    • Write an essay consulting a company that is considering expanding to the whole of the balkans, offering broadband connections
    • In the case of a large work request backlog how do you determine the difference between a fix and something that should be bundled as a project
    • What makes you better candidate for this job than others?
    • Create a Google Account and set to sync IMAP with OSX Mail.app
    • Describe a challenging interaction you’ve had with a peer and how you handled it.

    Wow, what wonderful questions.  Very appropriate to the career field, and hard for someone who isnt qualified to answer.  Should be fairly easy to someone who is qualified in the area though.  Although one of them is likely to be worded “who are the biggest 4”.
