How much do IT Consultants earn? What are IT Consultants salaries? How much would I get if I was an IT consultant in the UK.

IT Consultant salary information for the UK.

    – IT consultant salaries start from £20,000 and goes up to £32,000 (based on the job ads on the major job boards and their advertised salaries -2012) This salary information valid for entry level consultants.

    – Senior level means who has experience in IT would get £50,000-£80,000.

    – As usual those salaries are depending on the location and the company and your performance.

    – You would usually work 9am to 17pm however nature of the job may make you work extra hours to finish projects.

    – IT consultants usually travel a lot to clients sites.

    – You will mostly work in an office, as member of a team.

    – IT consultants may work from home too however part-time jobs are unlikely.

In my opinion, you will earn what ever the employer feels you are worth to them.  That may be that you start off on a lower salary until you can prove they are just what they need and that they would be foolish to let you go, at which point you can commend a better salary
