I’m not sure how easy it will be finding a job for a school age person.  Its hard enough for school leavers, and i know my son (who is 15) is having trouble finding a saturday/evening job – we have asked lots of places and been told that they wont consider him till he was 16 due to health and safety.  Also bear in mind there are restrictions on how many hours you can work at that age whilst still at school.  A lot of employers dont want to take on school children

When I was younger, I had a newspaper delivery round. Although it may not be the best job in the world, it was great as a first one, and got me the money that I needed for the week. This might be worth looking into, as there are many newsagents and press companies who need young people to deliver things for them. It’s pretty much the only type of work that people under 18 can do, other than waiting on, which isn’t to everyone’s tastes.
