    Lidl Application Form

Lidl was originally established in Germany over 40 years ago and has been expanding ever since.  It swiftly became a household name in the nation and now has operational stores in almost every country in Europe. There are 580 Lidl stores across the UK although many of the products and processes are still lead from Germany so higher level management will have an advantage within the recruitment process if they are fluent in both English and German.

Lidl want to invest in their existing staff in order to retain them, and therefore personal development for every employee is a priority. In-store training and development is usually used to provide and extend staff knowledge and understanding.

    How to Apply

If you’re interested in a role at Lidl you can visit their careers website at Lidl Careers where you can also search and apply for current vacancies from Store Assistant right up to Store Management and Head Office careers.

Simply complete the online questionnaire and attach your current CV and covering letter and submit your application. Don’t forget this is the only information that the company will have about you and you should therefore ensure that spelling and grammar is accurate to avoid being rejected at the first hurdle.

Depending on the type and level of position you have applied for you may be asked to undertake a telephone interview and Assessment Centre, although Store Assistant roles will usually only receive face-to-face interviews in the store they have applied to.

Some Lidl stores only advertise their vacancies within the store, in which case these jobs will not be advertised on the careers website therefore please follow the instructions on the advert, which generally requires you to collect, complete and return an application form within the store. We would also recommend that you attach your CV and a covering letter to assist the employers in understanding your background.

Click here to visit Lidl career site to learn more about their recruitments and apply for latest vacancies.

Lidl is a good place to work.

    How much do they pay?

Elise, in response to your message, I think it’s minimum pay for store assistants. I have heard that managers do get paid quite a bit more (as is expected) but I think the managers are on a salary which is considered quite high for that kind of store.
