I will have an interview and assessment with M&S next week. Can you please let me know what to expect from a M&S interview?
I found this job online at Marks and Spencer career site. You have to be registered to apply for positions. Some roles require 6 months work experience.
I remember having to do a group exercise which was mainly an observed group discussion on the best way to display a product.
This was followed by a role play in which the interviewer acted as a customer. Then after the role play was the general one to one interview. I think the whole process took about 3 hours!

i had an interview with M&S today and just wanted to write to say it wasnt nearly as bad as id thought! I read all the threads last nite, they came in really useful, although i didnt have to answer any “why do you want to work for us” questions and i also didnt have to ask any customers questions in the store.
I had to do the role-play thing with the food cards, but honestly wasnt that bad. i hate things like that. anyway i got the job, so good luck to anybody who will be going for an interview.

1- You will take a test online which will be about your personality, food Knowledge
2- On the Assestment day:
Same test of food knowledge and:
- Role play: help a costumer with a party (or something similiar)
- Typical interview questions.
