Matalan are currently recruiting for 2 Regional Health & Safety Advisors to cover North (based in Skelmersdale) & South (Based in Corby) regions.

The positions are challenging and exciting ones which will see the successful candidates operating in a fast paced, ever changing retail and distribution enviornment.

Key Responsibilities
Logistics
To support the Transport and Distribution Centres Managers in the application of all aspects of the Health and Safety Management System

With continuous improvement the objective – develop and maintain the Health and Safety Management System

To promote a positive safety culture through a comprehensive programme of training & development, effective communication, detailed guidance and clear leadership

To monitor, and where necessary, investigate accidents / dangerous occurrences. Actively seek measures to prevent reoccurrence along with a reduction in accident numbers preparing reports for all levels within the organisation as necessary.
