Morrisons are pleased to announce their plans to open a new store in its town centre in Regent Circus creating more than 180 new jobs this autumn.

The building and construction work has not yet been finished, Morrisons are still ploughing
on with the recruitment of the team of people they need for their new store.  The new store is part of a new leisure complex for the area and is based at Victoria Road and Eastcott Hill. The Morrisons teams are eagerly looking for new people, local people to come and work at their new Swindon store.

It’s an exciting opportunity for Morrisons and they are looking forward to delivering what matters to their customers when they open the new store in the autumn.  They are looking forward to taking on people with the “job for life” attitude and helping their team with their career in retail. They want people with real ambition that want to move up through the store from shop floor to management opportunities.  Some of the job opportunities will include butchery, bakery and fishmongery which is a real skill in terms of a job.

The new store will also have a continental style deli, a patisserie cake shop and a fresh to go take away area.  New staff will be trained to uphold Morrisons core values of quality fresh food through its market street concept while maintaining value for money.

The new employees will be offered a clear and defined career path with intensive training on food and craft skills through the Morrisons Academy as they want their staff to be able to provide a quality experience to their customers.

The site where the new Morrisons will be used to be the former Swindon College and has had more than £50 million invested in the project. Some of the work on the development has caused disruption on the roads but residents are being patient as they see the value in the new park.
