    You will need to take a qualification that's given from Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in order to become a Mortgage Adviser.

    Some banks and building societies are providing training schemes so you may want to apply for them.

    Apprenticeship is another way to get into Mortgage Adviser career.

    Some of the skills that are required for a Mortgage Advisers:

    •     excellent communication and listening skills
    •     the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
    •     the confidence to work with numbers and explain them to clients
    •     IT skills
    •     excellent customer service skills
    •     the drive and motivation to meet targets
