    Hey,

I am new to this site and i have a quick question.

I am 16 and not sure what jobs i can acctually do, i have asked the local chippy but you have to be 18. i was thinking of a shop or somewhere like subway.

Is there any jobs anyone knows of where you can be 16 as i need a job for some money fast.

    thank you

Most retail based jobs, for example shop work, are willing to hire 16 year olds. The chippy you applied for may not be covered for under 18s in insurance. Places like McDonalds, Burger King, KFC and Pizza Hut are all able to hire people under the age of 18 🙂

    Hiya!

Have you tried looking in your local shop? If its a question of experience you could always offer yourself as a volunteer in a charity shop. Think of what you like and what you enjoy and dont be afraid to approach potential employers yourself. Explain that you are young but that just means you are easy to train to their liking and that you are looking for a long term career. The job centre should be able to help you to find something. You could also consider apprenticeships?
