Tesco, the supermarket and retail giant, will open a new store in Swaffham which will create job vacancies for job seekers in the area.
More than 200 people gathered to talk about this new Tesco store.
According to the company the new store will be eco-friendly and create over 150 jobs.
Planning application hasn’t been submitted yet however once this done then store expected to be ready to operate in 2013.
There will be about 199 car park spaces which is free to use by the public.
Swaffham currently has an Asda store in Lynn Street, just off the Market Place, a Co-Op in London Street, an Iceland in the Market Place and a Waitrose also in Castle Acre Road, a few hundred yards from the proposed Tesco site.
