Ocado to create 2,000 new jobs near Dordon
The development of a new £210 million distribution centre near Dordon will create up to 2,000 jobs in the region, one of the biggest developments in the area recently.
The work, which began at the end of 2011, is expected to finish sometime in quarter one in 2013. The 400,000 sq ft facility is one of the biggest of its kind. It is expected, that when it is fully operational, it will be able to fill roughly 180,000 order plus a week.
The project teamed up with Jobcentre Plus to make sure that local employees were sourced.
