Oil Industry to Create 500 Roles in Scotland
Up to 500 roles will be created in the very near future near Aberdeen in Scotland by a Norwegian oil giant. Aker Solutions already has 2,700 employees in Scotland but this move will see them pass the 3,000 mark. This news has been well received by the local communities.
The roles, which will be created over the next two years, will grow the company’s presence in Scotland by between 9 and 15% a year until 2015. The company currently uses Scotland because of its close location to the North Sea, but they are said to be more than happy with their location.
