if we don’t have anybody to show as reference who to write or if we don’t fill this section, what would the employer think?
Unfortunately i do not have any real work experience and therefore i dont have any good references for my cv. could someone give me some advice on what i should do?
On your CV i would just put references available at request, if its for an application form and they request references then you have to put something. It is acceptable to put a teacher if you have no other referee.
If you are really stuck, put a friend/family friend. I honestly believe 9 out of 10 employers don’t check anyway it usually only the strictest companies check references like Banks/organizations dealing with sensitive info. Or for a senior position.
You should never list you references on your CV anyway.
Your CV is your opportunity for you to sell yourself to get that interview.

if you dont have any reference then no need to mention…and I dont think its mandatory to write…It must be optional
Write at the bottom of your CV “References available on request” and if the time comes where your potential employer would like a reference from you, explain that you haven’t got any work experience (which they will already know if they have read your CV and it doesn’t show any) but tell them you can provide personal references, from a family friend, a teacher, your GP etc. It can be anyone as long as its not a member of your family.
I agree with the others, just state “References are available upon request” and give the name of a teacher, a family friend etc. If you pursue some voluntary work, your boss there will count as a reference. Why not commit a day a week to Barnardo’s, or Oxfam, or any other charity you feel passionate about? This will look excellent on a CV.
Not having a reference is not the end of the world. Did you do your mandatory work experience in school? Use the employer from there as a reference if you did. They are usually more than happy to help.
