Ryanair interview!!!
I have got an interview coming up for Ryanair soon and I was wondering if anyone had this before and have time to write something about it for us.
I know it’s going to be a group interview but know nothing else about it.

Hi There,
With an airline they are going to be looking for someone who is capable of serving the public in a friendly and helpful manner, whilst looking smart and presentable. A combination of a smart skirt or trousers, with a smart shirt or fashion top would look smart.
Group interviews should be approached from a team focussed point of view, rather than seeing people as competition. Usually in these types of interviews you will be expected to answer a range of questions about working in customer facing environments and assisting customers, as well as answering questions about any previous similar roles you have undertaken, so think in advance of examples you can give of good service given or how you have relatable experience. They will also usually ask you to complete tasks in groups so that they can observe how you work with others. These usually consist of games such as ‘who can build the highest tower’, and you should try and ensure that you show in the excersise that you can both direct and take direction, and just ensure that you keep conferring with your colleagues and checking they are doing ok.
When questioned individually just remember to keep calm in the interview and listen to what you are being asked. Be honest, and if you are struggling, don’t be afraid to ask for a few minutes to think. Be sure to have some questions of your own lined up to ask your interviewer, and remember, if you don’t get the job don’t see it as rejection- you wouldn’t want a job that wasn’t suited to you, so it’s important to be honest.

Ryanair are known for their no-nonsense approach to travel, and are very friendly in terms of how they operate. However, do not take this attitude as an excuse to be less formal at your interview. Dress smartly unless instructed otherwise, be polite, and answer questions as thoroughly as possible.
In a group interview, it is important you stand out, not as the cocky arrogant one who stepped on others to win, but the one who worked well as a team, listened to others, and helped others to get the best result they could. Group interviews can include designing a presentation, building something as a group, or solving problems in a limited time.

The advice given was a great help, I have an interview with Ryanair in June. I am a bit nervous as I am not too sure about the question I will be asked or to ask the interviewers.
I was just enquiring if anyone would have help advice that I could take into consideration particularly questions that I could ask the interviewer.

Jobs at Ryanair vary a lot. You may think that it all about cabin crew, but actually there are also sales managers and an administration team that work behind the scenes. Therefore you will need to demonstrate different skills, depending on which role you want to take up.
It is always wise to find out things about the company before you go for an interview. You need to consider who they are and what they do as well as recent news. The head of Ryanair is always in the news with regards to airport tax and things like that and so it is a good idea to be aware of that, just in case you get asked.
It is wise to also know what the job requires. This is because you will be expected to demonstrate that you are able to succeed in the role and therefore need to know what is expected of you. It is very important to think of each of the requirements and see whether you can think of something that you have done which will demonstrate your ability to do that. It may be that you have done a similar job before. If you have not, you may still have something which has skills that you can apply.
Some of the jobs at Ryanair require language skills and so this may be something that you need to demonstrate. If you have not spoken a foreign language for a while then make sure that you practice and also think about the kinds of things you may be asked to say in different languages. Foreign language roles tend to be sales roles and so you will need to consider what will be relevant there.Having an interest in travel, flying or airplanes can be really useful as well, so consider how you might answer questions that are about this. Depending on what your role is you may have to show an interest in mechanics and airplane engines, flying and what happens during a flight or travel and the joys of flying. It could be useful to know about any recent and relevant travel news as well.
