I know it is 2 days induction, but how many hours each day and how much is the pay for the 2 days?

    Hi there
If you have received an offer letter for a job with Sainsbury’s and a start date, then you should ask for full details of the induction that the company will provide.
The intention of the induction period is to make you familar with Sainsbury’s practices, policies and ways of working. Companies sometimes send new staff to a specific location for induction while others organise it in the place of work. The content can vary a lot – some are very practical while others are all about issuing documents and making sure that you have read and understood certain procedures.
The length of an induction day will depend upon how Sainsbury’s organises its induction training. Again, you should call the contact person on your offer letter and ask for a breakdown of what will happen, where it will happen and how.
Because your induction is part of your contract of employment with your employer, you should receive the same hourly rate of pay and you will receive in the normal course of your work.  If you’re unsure, check with Human Resources. You should also check your first wage slip to make sure that you’re paid for those induction hours.
Good luck in your new job!
