GuestSAINSBURY’S plans to recruit 300 apprentices over the next year to its meat, fish and bakery schemes, as part of its pledge to have an apprentice in each store.
Apprentices have the opportunity to learn real craft skills while studying for qualifications including an NVQ Level 2 in Retail, which are vital to become team leaders and store managers of the future.
Sainsbury’s apprentices earn the same rate as their colleagues – £6.80 an hour – and get an annual bonus.
