So Sainsbury’s interviews starts with a classical interview question which is Why do you want to work for Sainsbury’s?
What to wear for a Sainsbury’s job interview?
Wear dark trousers, a shirt (not t-shirt), black shoes and just look presentable and ladies not too short skirts! and reasonable make-up.
In your interview, you will watch a DVD, answer some questions, do a little test, chat with the interviewer. It’s pretty straight forward.
People who had this interview recently says that its pretty easy and fun! good luck to you all.

Very very good tips here. Again, mostly common sense though so if anyone is wearing a really short skirt to try and get a job, they really need to re-think this. Knee length should be the shortest as far as a formal job interview goes. I havent been for a team leader position at Sainsburys, I would imagine they would mostly go internally to staff already working in the store, but occassionally someone externally would stand out
My sister recently had an interview with Sainsburys, and told me what it was like.
They did ask, “Why do you want to work for Sainsburys?” and she was able to come up with a unique, different answer that they liked. As with most employers, they are interviewing hundreds of people, and the important thing is that you can stand out and make them believe that you are the right person for the job position.
Avoid answers like “It looks good to work here” or “I like the pay rate” or “I need a job”. Also avoid stealing other people’s answers and answers that everybody tends to repeat.
