Up to 400 roles will be created in Aberystwyth with the introduction of a new Sainsburys if plans are approved. This comes as a bit of a surprise to those in the local area as plans for a Tesco’s had just been unveiled. Furthermore, the planned site of the Sainsburys will sit next to a Morrison’s.
The Aberystwyth Tesco’s has already said that it will create 200 jobs, which means 600 new supermarket roles will be coming to the area shortly.
If plans for the Sainsburys are approved, then at least 300 roles will be created. It is expected that the majority of roles will be filled by new members, and that all roles associated with a supermarket will be available from shop floor workers to managers and everything in-between.
