The multi channel retailer, Screwfix is to create 14 new jobs at its Lurgan new store which will open on 5th June at Millennium Way. This will be the sixth store for Screwfix to open in Northern Ireland and with the creation of 14 new jobs for the town it is exciting times for the local people of Lurgan and for the company as part of their ongoing expansion plans.

The new store Manager, Jacqui Wilson is very pleased that the store opening has had such an impact on the unemployment in the region and that all 14 roles have been filled by local people. Everyone in the local area is looking forward to the new store opening.

The new store opening has sent out invites to local tradesmen and DIYers to come and see the new store opened and give them the opportunity to demonstrate their professional skills in a free to enter screw drilling competition where the winner who is the fastest will win a 40 in Toshiba flat screen TV.

During the first few days of the new store opening, Screwfix will be giving an extra 10% off all purchases on a customer’s first order from any of the Screwfix Northern Ireland stores as an incentive to shop.

The Manager of the store is really pleased with the location of the store as it is very convenient for the locals and also they are now offering a click and collect service within 5 minutes of ordering which to tradesmen in a hurry is a real boost and bonus to their working day.  The Manager and new team have already been making an effort to get to know their customers and local tradesmen and feel that they have already had huge support to the new store opening.

Screwfix prides themselves on meeting the needs of the busy tradesmen with a reliable and convenient service and they offer over 11,000 products in store and online.
