Spence & Partners are looking to create 107 new jobs in Belfast. The already have 25 new jobs in place which will bring new skills to the important financial services sector and will generate £3.5 million a year in salaries.  The new additions will bring the total number if employees based out of Bristol to 145.

Spence & Partners is part of Ellcon investments with offices in Belfast, London, Glasgow and Bristol.

They decided to expand their workforce after the development of Mantle, a highly innovative cloud based software solution for the pensions industry which is currently driving the company’s growth in export markets.

The Enterprise Minister, Arlene Foster said that the substantial expansion is creating skilled positions in the IT and actuarial sectors which is good news for people in those industries and is a direct result of the firm’s investment in research and development to create its ground breaking Mantle product.

Invest Northern Ireland are supporting the training for the new employees and have also been supporting the Mantle research and development project. The investment by Spence & Partners is a huge investment and improving Northern Ireland’s skillset by creating a home grown pool of talent in such a growth area.

Invest Northern Ireland have give Spence & Partners over £1 million as part of the investment which was part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.  Spence and Partners have ambitious plans to grow over the next five years and would one day like to be in the top ten companies operating within the UK defined pensions market.

Spence & Partners are excited by the expansion plans and feel that the Mantle product they have researched and developed is the only software system on the market that combines actuarial function and related admin processes which is what every business needs.  They are very thankful to Invest Northern Ireland for their funding because without it, this would have take much longer to be on the market.
